Treatment & What Owners Should Expect
Clinical Canine Massage Therapy is a results driven treatment and my aim is to see improvement within one to three sessions. In some cases your dog may require only one treatment session if the issue has been resolved or may require further or regular treatment to help maintain your dogs mobility or support an orthopaedic issue.

Consultation & Gait Analysis
Your dogs initial appointment will last for approximately 90 minutes and will begin with a full consultation, allowing me to get to know your dog, their general health, daily activities and exercise, diet, medical history, your concerns and what results you would like to see.

I will also ask you to move your dog at different paces so I can assess their gait and posture whilst walking and trotting. This allows me to develop a better understanding of what your dog requires and how best to approach and work with your dog, as each session is tailored to individual needs.

following this will be a full body palpation which will help me to identify areas of injury, tenderness, soreness, changes in muscle tone, texture, temperature and highlight areas of concern.

Treatment
Following the consultation, treatment will last for 40 - 50 minutes depending on the size of your dog. A Full body massage will encompass various techniques of swedish, sports and deep tissue massage and Myofascial release.

Once treatment is complete I will discuss any findings with you, provide any recommendations and discuss aftercare. A full report will be sent to your vet on completion of all treatment.

Aftercare
The aftercare of your dog is an important part of the treatment. At the end of our session I will inform you of any recommendations for your dog and will provide you with an aftercare sheet which will also outline the initial stages of recovery post massage.
