Scar Tissue

Scar Tissue develops after the soft tissue in the body is injured. It is the body's natural way of self healing. Once scar tissue has formed, it becomes rigid and hard and can prevent a muscle from fully contracting , leaving it shortened which can weaken the muscle, making it prone to further injury and can cause pain. Over time this can also have an effect on the skeleton, pulling it out of alignment and causing overcompensation in other areas of the body.

Scar tissue is almost impossible to get rid of but regular maintenance Massage can help to reduce any tension and tightness that can build up over time.
